About the Role

A mid-sized Boston law firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Department. The Client Account Representative will work to develop strong relationships with assigned Partners and clients to support all collections responsibilities. The Client Account Representative will maintain high levels of customer service while working diligently to achieve the Firm’s collections targets and goals.

Duties and Requirements

  • Work with the Client Account Manager and assigned Partners to manage the day-to-day      collections operations.

  • Communicate with the Partners to learn the individual procedures and preferences of each client.

  • Responsible for the direct-contact with clients regarding invoices and past due balances.

  • Collaborate with Partners to plan proper follow-up techniques.

  • Process transfers, write-offs and edits, complying with firm policies and procedures.

  • Research and monitor unapplied payments.

  • Prepare reports and analytics on the status of client’s accounts.


Essential Skills:


  • General understanding of accounts receivable and billing.

  • Knowledge of Aderant Expert and Star Collect.

  • Provide a high-level and individualized customer service experience to all clients.

  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate with all levels of Firm personnel.

  • Outstanding planning and time management skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and an eye for detail.

  • Ability to multi-task and determine prioritization of competing assignments.


Minimum Job Requirements


Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Years of Experience:  3+ years’ experience in billing or collections; law firm or professional services industry is a plus.

Salary

$55,000 - $70,000
